SATU RITMA, SERIBU WARNA: SHOWCASES THE ARTISTIC AND CULTURAL TALENTS OF KOLEJ SEPULUH STUDENTS
Kolej Sepuluh, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), 15th May 2026 – The Satu Ritma, Seribu Warna program was successfully held at the Girls’ Block parking area of Kolej Sepuluh with active participation from students and collaboration among several organizing committees and facilitators. The programme aimed to cultivate appreciation for arts and culture while encouraging creativity and strengthening relationships within the campus community.
The program commenced on 15th May 2026 with Borneo Cultural Night 2.0, featuring a traditional Bornean dance demonstration by SETA Walinongsari Club. Performances such as the Ngajat Dance attracted many students and introduced the richness of Malaysian cultural heritage through an engaging and interactive atmosphere. Besides that, the audiences were demonstrated by dancers the Magunatip Dance from Murut ethnic which the dancers should hop between the bamboos followed the music.
On 16th May 2026, the programme continued with BatikXplore, conducted by Mr. Shuhairul Hafizie, founder of Kesuma Artisan. A total of 13 participants learned the basic techniques of batik canting before taking part in the 25 Meter Batik Challenge where students collaboratively created and coloured a large-scale batik artwork. The programme also received support from Pusat Kesenian dan Kebudayaan Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah (PKKSSAAS) as a co-organizer.
In the evening, the program concluded with Malam Irama, featuring a live band performance by SETA Suara dan Melodi Club, creating a lively atmosphere while entertaining the audience through music and artistic performances.
Overall, the Satu Ritma, Seribu Warna program successfully achieved its objectives by promoting appreciation for local arts and cultural heritage among university students. The programme also served as a platform to showcase talents, foster creativity and strengthen the sense of community within Kolej Sepuluh.
