SERDANG, 3 Oct- In preparation for the unexpected situation, a fire drill was carried out by the management of the Tenth College, University Putra Malaysia and were involved by student and staff of the Tenth College with the cooperation of Fire and Rescue Department of Malaysia and Emergency Unit of the University Putra Malaysia Health Center.The objective of this drill was to give training to every student and staff at the Tenth College on safety precautions or actions needed to be taken in the event of an emergency.
The training was conduct starting from 9.30 pm until 10.30 pm and the room and level clearing process was performed immediately after the fire alarm goes off.All of the student were instruct to gather at the assembly point and the attendance were record.
As the result from the post mortem that has been carried out right after the fire drill,it can be concluded that all student and staff has successfully passed the fire drill when the room clearing process only takes less than 7 minutes which is below the minimum time that been set by the Fire and Rescue Department of Malaysia.
